STORY: Mourners gathered around coffins of their loved one at a local sports hall in Ascoli Piceno on Friday evening (August 26) to pay their final respects to victims of the 6.2 magnitude earthquake.
Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and Italian President Sergio Mattarella will attend the ceremony scheduled to take place at 1130 (0930g) on Saturday (August 27).
The number of people killed in Wednesday’s quake has risen to 281.
