Mumbai gets 40th Police Commissioner

Mumbai, Jan 31 (ANI): Maharashtra-cadre 1982-batch IPS officer Datta Padsalgikar on Sunday took over as the new Mumbai Police Commissioner. He succeeded Javed Ahmed, who retired today. Ahmed will now serve as India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Padsalgikar is the 40th Police Commissioner of the Mumbai Police. He has also served the Intelligence Bureau for more than a decade.
