Najma Heptulla urges PM to pass women’s reservation bill

Chennai, Nov 23 (ANI): Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptulla urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government to pass the women’s reservation bill. A bill that seeks to reserve 33 percent seats in parliament and provincial assemblies has been passed by the Rajya Sabha but is pending in the Lok Sabha due to lack of consensus among political parties. Heptulla promised to get nearly 600,000 acres of Waqf properties released from illegal occupants once parliament enacts a law.
