Naomi Campbell leads fashion pack at Burberry show
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
Burberry showcased its Autumn/Winter 2016 collection as part of London Fashion Week Monday (February 22) and drew in an A-list crowd. Naomi Campbell, Suki Waterhouse, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and photographer Mario Testino were all on the front row at the show which was held in Kensington Gardens. Chief Executive of Burberry, Christopher Bailey, described his latest line which featured navy military inspired overcoats with red piping, sequined mini dresses and biker boots as ‘patchwork’. The brand is pioneering a new approach to the way it presents shows. From September it will move to a catwalk-straight-to-consumer model with the collection shown at the next London Fashion Week being available to buy immediately. Bailey said this approach is not for everyone. Singer-songwriter Jake Bugg performed at the show which had a trailer on YouTube, and was simultaneously live-streamed on the Burberry app and on the brand’s website.
