Nepal Earthquake: Nepal’s pain is our pain, says PM Modi

New Delhi, April 25 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday while addressing the gathering at the Jnanpith Award said that the pain of Nepal is the pain of India. He added that he spoke the Prime Minister and the President of Nepal and assured them that India is with them in this hour of need. More than 700 people are reported to have died in a powerful earthquake that struck Nepal, and many are still feared to be trapped under rubble. According to IMD, the magnitude of the quake was measured 7.9 on the open-ended Richter Scale. It struck in an area between Kathmandu and Pokhara. Tremors were felt across the region, with further loss of life in India and on Mount Everest.
