Kathmandu (Nepal) July 1 (ANI): Nepal’s main opposition CPN-UML is leading in 326 levels out of the 334 local levels in the second phase of local polls, which took place on Wednesday. The UML has claimed victory in eight levels. The ruling Nepali Congress has received a set back with victory over four levels and the Maoist Centre winning one level. Due to various technical and political reasons, the vote count of eight local bodies is yet to start, the Election Commission has informed. The Election Commission has claimed that it is adopting quick measures that would bring the final results within a week. The Election Commission has increased the number of vote counting officials and has asked the political parties, candidates and their representatives to be cooperative at the time of vote count. The second phase of polls saw an overwhelming 70.5 percent turnout. While the final phase of the polls will be held on the 18 September.
