Nepal stares at fuel crisis in wake of massive earthquake
Kathmandu, April 28 (ANI): Battered by a powerful earthquake, people in Nepal now stared at fuel crisis as supplies of petrol and diesel have been hit. Thousands of motorists and vehicle owners gathered at an army petrol pump to get fuel as most of the outlets were damaged or shut due to non- availability of staff. Thousands of people began fleeing the capital Kathmandu, terror-stricken by two days of powerful aftershocks and looming shortages of food and water after an earthquake that killed more than 4,000 people.
The Nepal government was trying to cope with a shortage of drinking water, food and electricity, as well as the threat of disease, and the government appealed for international help.
