No Indian official gave water, refreshments to runners: Athlete OP Jaisha
Bengaluru, Aug 22 (ANI): Indian woman athlete O P Jaisha on Monday said that during the marathon at the recently held Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, not a single Indian official was present at designated points to provide water or any other kind of refreshment to the runners. Jaisha said the organisers provided water and sponge after every 8km, but it made the event very difficult due to the hot weather. She said even in a local marathon water is made available after every two kilometers. The athlete further said the Indian flag was also nowhere to be seen during the entire marathon.
