Hyderabad, Aug 07 (ANI): Around 531 children were rescued in Hyderabad city in July under operation ‘Muskan’, a nationwide campaign launched by central government to identify missing children and child labourers, officials said. The children, who belong to various states, were rescued from different railway stations, bus stations, roads and other parts of the city and shifted to shelter homes. Hyderabad district child protection officer, Mohammad Imtyaz Rahim said that 2474 children were rescued from Telangana state in July. He added that the children were being provided counseling to live a healthy life. He further said that most of the children started working in factories due to acute poverty or lack of direction from parents. The rescued children, meanwhile, thanked the government for the facilities provided to them at the shelter home.
