Paltrow, Stone, Roberts attend amfAR gala
Stars came out in Hollywood on Thursday (October 29) for the sixth annual amfAR Inspiration Gala, which raised 3.1 million dollars for AIDS research programs. Gwyneth Paltrow posed for photos, as did amfAR Global Campaign Chair Sharon Stone, who said that while good work was being done in the fight against AIDS, there was still more to be done.
SOUNDBITE: Sharon Stone saying (English):
“We have to continue to work hard to finance the scientists who are looking for that cure and that vaccine.”
Julia Roberts presented “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy with the amfAR Award of Inspiration, and joked about his friendship with Paltrow.
Upon accepting the honor, Murphy pledged to be a lifelong ambassador to amfAR and the organization’s mission.
The evening ended with a performance by Lady Gaga, that included her latest ballad, “Till It Happens To You.”
