Patients face brunt as doctors go on mass leave in Himachal Pradesh
Shimla, Jan 23 (ANI): Patients across Himachal Pradesh faced problems after doctors across the state went on mass leave on Monday. The doctors had given a demand charter to the state government on the issue of security and safety of staff and medical officers. Their demand is to make the offence under Medipersons Safety Act non-baillable. Long queues of patients could be seen outside OPDs since the early morning and patients even with cardiac problems had to go back without treatment. The Medical Officers Association has further warned to submit a mass resignation on February 24th, if their demands are not fulfilled within a month time.
