People of different religious beliefs celebrate Eid-e-Milad

Aligarh, Dec 21 (ANI): A sea of people thronged the streets in different parts of the country on the occasion of the Eid-e-Milad celebrations. Eid-e-Milad falls on the 12th day of Rabi’ al-Awwal, the third month in Islamic calendar. It is an important day for the Muslims who offer namaaz and take part in other rituals. In Aligarh city, mosques were beautifully decorated and processions were taken out by a large number of Muslims. Religious hymns played on loudspeakers as people paid obeisance to the Prophet. People irrespective of their religious beliefs participated in the day-long celebrations spreading the message of peace and brotherhood.
