Opera singer Placido Domingo unveiled a statue in his image at the Madrid Wax Museum on Saturday (January 23). The statue was made to pay tribute to the tenor’s career and to mark his 75th birthday. Domingo, a Madrid native who is also the director of Los Angeles Opera, arrived at the Wax Museum in the Spanish capital with his wife, singer Marta Domingo and various members of his family.
