PM Modi chairs high level meeting in wake of earthquake
New Delhi, April 25 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high level meeting of ministers and top government officials at 7RCR today in wake of the earthquake that shook Nepal and Northern India. Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar were also present during the meeting. According to reports, disaster management mechanisms in the districts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh along the Nepal border have been activated on the instructions of the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has also instructed Minister of State for Skill Development Rajiv Pratap Rudy to stock of the situation. According to reports, the epicentre of the tremors was said to be in Pokhra, Nepal, with the IMD stating that the earthquake measured 7.9 on the Richter scale.
