PM Modi mocks at Congress, says 65 airports made in 67 years
Pakyong (Sikkim), Sep 24 (ANI): On the occasion of inauguration of the airport at Pakyong in Sikkim, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at Congress and said that only 65 airports were inaugurated from the time when India gained Independence till 2014, which means on an average one airport was built per year. The Prime Minister said, “We built 35 airports in last 4 years, whereas Congress built 65 airports in 67 years with an average of one airport per year. Our government made 9 airport operational in last one year. We are progressing nine times faster.” “If Congress was to remain, they would have taken another 40 years to complete 100 airports,” added Modi.
