New Delhi, March 24 (ANI): Minister of state for external affairs VK Singh posted a series of cryptic tweets on Monday night that seemed to suggest he was unhappy about representing the government at the Pakistan Day function after his followers on Twitter criticized him for attending the event. Singh, a former army chief, made a brief appearance of about 10 minutes at the event hosted by high commissioner Abdul Basit at the Pakistani mission. The tweets are being seen as rebellion by the minister, who was asked to attend the event by the government, and an embarrassment for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Taking a jibe at it, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Tuesday said that if Singh is so disgusted with double standards of his own government on Pakistan, he should quit. Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) leader KC Tyagi pointed out that the common minimum programme of the PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir has dialogues with the Hurriyat as one of its points.
