Protest raised by bureaucrats ‘justified’: Congress
New Delhi, Dec 31 (ANI): Congress leader Tom Vadakkan on Thursday said that the statement given by Delhi Home Minister Satyendra Jain on mass leave of government officials was regrettable. He was of the view that democracy could not run without bureaucracy and said that the people suspended were just doing their duty. He also sided with the persons suspended, saying the protest raised by the bureaucrats was totally justified. This comes in the lieu of two senior officials being suspended by the Delhi Government for refusing to sign some files. To show solidarity with the suspended officials, 200 bureaucrats threatened to go on mass leave, which might affect the government’s plans for the odd-even car scheme, that is to be launched from January 1.
