PV Sindhu: India’s Silver girl

Sharing is Caring

New Delhi, Aug 20 (ANI): Ace shuttler PV Sindhu, who fought fiercely with World No. 1 Carolina Marin of Spain in the badminton women’s singles event, became the first-ever woman Indian shuttler to bring back home a silver medal. It was a historic occasion for the Indian sports fraternity. Born in a family of volleyball players, Sindhu was inspired by her coach Pullela Gopichand’s win at the 2001 All England Badminton Championship and chose badminton over volleyball.
