Repeated leopard attacks create terror in villages

Thane (Maharashtra), Aug 23 (ANI): Locals in Murbad in Maharashtra’s Thane district are in panic as a leopard has left two villagers dead. Reportedly, the forest department sought orders to shoot the leopard at sight from wildlife headquarters in Nagpur, and have been given a go ahead after several consequent attacks by the wild cat in the recent days. This is the third attack in the last two days. Fearing leopard’s presence in the village, locals move around with sticks and stones during broad daylight and remain imprisoned during the evening.
