“We are hearing voices, we have assured them and, by the grace of God, we’ll bring any other remaining out alive. I cannot tell you how many people are under the debris.”
The building collapsed early Tuesday.
So far five people are confirmed dead and six have been rescued.
The building was still under construction. Some workers were living on site with their families.
Locals say the land beneath it had been a river bed, but was filled with sand before construction began.
