Coimbatore/ Kochi, Sep 12 (ANI): Hundreds of people in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, continue to throng markets as the 10-day harvest festival of Onam draws to a close. The festival of Onam, observed annually, traditionally celebrates the homecoming of King Mahabali, who is believed to come from the nether world to check on his citizens. Kerala is said to have enjoyed a golden period under King Mahabali. Markets in Kochi city wore a festive look as people crowded shops with friends and family.
