Royal couple greet cheering crowds in New Zealand
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION).
Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla enjoy high tea in New Plymouth on the penultimate day of their New Zealand tour.
The royal couple joined around 500 guests at an event called “Tea with Taranaki” on the lawn at Brooklands Park before a public walkabout, according to local media.
“It’s exciting and it’s great for New Plymouth and underneath it all I think we all love the royals,” said one lady who met the Prince.
Later in the day, the Prince travelled to the Trewithen Dairy Farm where he met some local school children and helped plant a tree on the farm, TVNZ reported.
The royal couple will wrap up their New Zealand visit in Auckland on Tuesday (November 10) before heading to Sydney for a five-day tour.
