Rss Chief To Try Bringing Belligerent Bjp, Sena Together
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has taken a lead to bring the sparring BJP and the Shiv Sena together after the parties failed to strike a post-poll alliance and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that BJP would not hold any talks with Sena.
RSS CHIEF TO TRY BRINGING BELLIGERENT BJP, SENA TOGETHER
Bhagwat reportedly called up Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and expressed the need to convince Sena to become part of the BJP-led state government. Interestingly, Fadnavis too was in Nagpur on Sunday where RSS has its headquarters. Even though both the sides are tight lipped sources said that Bhagwat has talked to Thackeray over phone more than once in last fifteen days.
Sena was always the Big Brother of the alliance in the state for last 25 years. However, not only did the two parties contest separately this time, BJP won double the number of seats than Sena. BJP also won 15 seats in Sena’s stronghold Mumbai. This hurt Sena’s ego leading to a war between the right-wing parties.
