Sand artist urges world to unite in fight against militancy
Cuttack, Nov 26 (ANI): Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture in eastern Cuttack city in view of the rise in militancy and recent Paris attacks. In his sand sculpture, Pattnaik created a globe with a message: ‘United against Terrorism’ as a tribute to the victims of 2008 Mumbai attacks and the recent attacks in Paris. An unprecedented militant attack shook India on November 26, 2008, as a group of 10 gunmen from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), who arrived from Pakistan in a boat at a Mumbai harbour, attacked several landmarks in Mumbai. In an assault that lasted for three days, 166 people were killed, including six Americans, and scores were injured. Patnaik urged the nations to be united to fight militancy.
