SC directs SIT to submit report on black money by May 12

New Delhi, April 21 (ANI): The Supreme Court of India on Tuesday directed the Special Investigation Team (SIT), investigating the black money stashed abroad, to submit the status report on the progress made by it so far by May 12. The SIT, which was created by the apex court, is expected to file a report to the court regarding action taken by various investigative agencies in cases related to illegal funds stashed abroad by Indian nationals. A petitioner in the black money case, Ram Jethmalani, blamed Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for inordinate delay in retrieval of ill-gotten money deposited in tax heavens. The court also accepted BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, another party in the case.
