Security forces nab two Maoist rebels

Latehar, Dec 21 (ANI): Security forces nabbed two left-wing Maoist rebels in Jharkhand province. In a joint operation, police of Latehar district and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel arrested the rebels belonging to Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) outfit or Third Preparatory Committee – and seized a cache of arms and ammunition from them. TPC is a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist group which was formed in 2002. Also known as Naxals, Maoists seek the violent overthrow of the state. They routinely call strikes, attack government property and target politicians and police.
