Shuttler PV Sindhu brings home first silver medal, loses gold to Spain

Rio De Janeiro, Aug 19 (ANI): The 21-year-old Hyderabadi shuttler PV Sindhu had to rest with silver medal after she lost the final to Spain’s Carolina Marin in the badminton finale at Rio Olympics 2016. Sindhu has become the first Indian to reach the final of a badminton event in the country’s Olympic history. Sindhu defeated Japanese Nozomi Okuhara 21-19 21-10 in the semi-finals of the women’s singles on Thursday.
