‘Sound of Music’ star Charmian Carr dies
The legend behind the Von Trapps’ rebellious daughter Liesl Von Trapp in the Academy Award-winning ‘Sound of Music’ film, has died.
Actress Charmian Carr was 73-years-old.
She passed away from complications relating to a rare form of dementia in the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills.
Carr was just in her early 20s when she played the role of Liesl, the eldest of the seven children of authoritarian widower, Captain Von Trapp.
She later distanced herself from her acting career to pursue interior design and start a family.
She is survived by two children and four grandchildren.
