This episode focuses on, Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s tri-nation visit to Palestine and the Gulf countries of UAE and Oman, in the line of Indian government’s efforts to expand its demographic, political and economic ties with India’s key trade partner, the Gulf region. In Gilgit-Baltistan, the people took to the streets demanding the Pakistan government to play its due role in getting released the prisoners languishing in Chinese jails for years. In Pakistan, the ethnic Pashtun community is angry as they are being targeted by the Pakistan army and intelligence agencies; there are widespread protests in parts of Pakistan and by the community members living abroad. Nepal, saw history being written when K.P. Sharma Oli who led an alliance with former Maoist rebels to a sweeping victory in recently held elections was appointed as the new Prime Minister of country by the President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, this was the first time when a Prime Minister of the country was elected in accordance with the newly promulgated constitution of the country. Afghanistan’s Kabul has experienced years of horror and struggle and people are finding a little comfort and distraction in the company of birds and today we bring you a story of Kabul’s old city which is being thronged by people to get acquainted and bring different varieties of birds to their homes.
