Stars of “Spectre” on Tuesday (October 27) brought the latest James Bond instalment to Rome, where parts of the film where shot. With little time to rest after the movie’s royal premiere in London on Monday (October 26), actors Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz and Monica Bellucci joined director Sam Mendes for a photocall at a central Roman hotel on Tuesday afternoon. A few hours later, they walked the red carpet at Rome’s Auditorium Conciliazione, just down the street from St. Peter’s Square and right by the Tiber river banks where they earlier in the year filmed some of the film’s action scenes. Craig said he was excited to be bringing the movie to Rome. Belluci meanwhile, in her home country, was self-effacing – praising the role of her co-star, Lea Seydoux. Director Mendes said he had decided to return behind the lens for another instalment in the British spy movies series in order to create something completely different. The process was also an opportunity to learn new, he added. “Spectre” is released worldwide in early November.
