Subdued Eid al-Adha celebrations in curfew-bound Kashmir Valley

Sharing is Caring

Srinagar, Sep 13 (ANI): The Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha is being observed in a subdued manner in the Kashmir Valley due to a curfew being imposed by the authorities to prevent unrest and acts of violence. The region has been in a restive state since July 10 this year following the elimination of militant Burhan Wani during an encounter with security forces. Helicopters and unmanned drones are being used for surveillance purposes as well to prevent any untoward incident.
