Sudarshan Patnaik creates sand sculpture to mark Independence Day

Puri, Aug 15 (ANI): Indian sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik created a sand sculpture on the shore of Puri beach in Odisha on country’s 69th Independence Day. Paying tribute to ‘father of the nation’ Mahatma Gandhi, Patnaik created a tri-color sculpture carrying the message of peace, freedom and democracy. India is celebrating its 69th Independence Day on Saturday. India achieved its Independence on August 15, 1947, ending more than 200 years of British rule.
