Sushant Singh removes ‘Rajput’ from his surname to support Sanjay Leela Bhansali
New Delhi, Jan 29 (ANI): Sanjay Leela Bhansali has received widespread support from Bollywood ever since members of Karni Sena attacked the set of his upcoming film Padmavati and manhandled the filmmaker. And the recent one to join the league is none other but Sushant Singh Rajput, who has reacted to the controversy in his own way. The actor, who is a ‘Rajput’ himself, dropped his surname from Twitter to express solidarity with Bhansali. He tweeted, “We would suffer till the time we’re obsessed with our surnames. If you’re that courageous, give us your first name to acknowledge. #padmavati” He further said, “There is no religion or cast bigger than humanity and Love and compassion makes us human. Any other division is done for selfish gains.”However, apart from the oral criticism, Sushant’s act is an only example of taking any step against the incident. Kudos to Sushant! For those who have come in late, on Friday, Karni Sena activists entered the premises of Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur where Bhansali was shooting for Padmavati and attacked the crew and damaged property.
