New Delhi, Jan 28 (ANI): Weeks after 14 people died in an attack at satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo’s office in Paris, a threat letter for a similar attack has been received in Tamil Nadu. Condemning reactions flowed on Wednesday after a Tamil daily, Dinamalar, received a letter: supposedly from terrorist outfit Al-Qaeda, reading “Yesterday Charlie Hebdo, tomorrow Dinamalar”. The letter mentions “the base moment of the Al-Qaeda” as the sender. DMK leader TKS Elangovan said that this is against the freedom of press. Congress leader Manish Tewari condemned the threat saying that freedom of press should not be attacked. Defence Expert Lt Gen (Retd) Raj Kadyan said that the investigation agencies should take note whether the threat was real or only meant to create hoax.
