Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh), Oct 31 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced the name of Prem Kumar Dhumal as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the election to Himachal Pradesh. A two-time Chief Minister, Dhumal’s name was declared by BJP President Amit Shah in the poll-bound state. Shah’s announcement at a public meeting, barely days before the assembly polls, seemed at its best bet to oust the Virbhadra Singh-led Congress government in the state. Dhumal said that he thanked his party high command and the people of Himachal Pradesh for supporting him. Supporters across the state were seen celebrating after the party announced his name as the Chief Ministerial Candidate.
