Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Jun 12 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu held Telugu Desam Party coordination committee meeting on Tuesday. Naidu apprehended that there is a chance of preponement of elections. General Elections and AP Assembly Elections should be conducted before next May. “If they are preponed, they may be conducted much earlier. Party should be ready for any situation,” he said. During the meeting, AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu pointed out that the party leaders should be careful with EVMs. Party cadre should be on full alert. The central government is taking all systems including Election Commission into its control. There is a possibility of misusing the EVMs. Agreeing to his statement, Naidu said, “It is very easy to tamper any electronic gadget, there are all possibilities of misusing EVMs. One should give a serious thought about alternative or solution for the problem. There are suspicions about functioning of EVMs at national level. Even in developed countries, ballot system is being used. TDP has always been opting for the ballot model only. We will make this a debatable point at national level and will take care to safeguard the democracy”.
