Transit treatment center for animals, birds set up in Nagpur

Nagpur, Dec 31 (ANI): The forest department in Nagpur city has started a transit hospital to take care of wildlife animals and birds which get injured but are not treated on time. The centre, located in Seminary Hills area of Maharashtra state, rescues injured animals and birds and provide timely treatment to them. The centre is first of its kind in India, which will cater to animals from across Vidarbha region, which comprises of Nagpur Amravati divisions of the state. Maharashtra state with geographical area of 3, 07,713 square kilometers is having 61,939 square kilometers as forest area.
