Trupti Desai enters Haji Ali Dargah, thanks everyone for their support

Sharing is Caring

Mumbai, Aug 28 (ANI): Bhumata Brigade activist Trupti Desai entered the Haji Ali Dargah in Maharashtra on Sunday after the Bombay High Court on Friday lifted the ban imposed on women from entering the sanctum sanctorum of the dargah. A delighted Trupti said no one denied her from entering the Haji Ali Dargah, today. She also said that she is really happy as so many Muslim women supported them and hoped for women to be able to offer prayer soon. The Haji Ali Dargah Trust imposed the ban in 2012 citing religious traditions. Authorities then defended the ban, saying that the entry of women in close proximity to the tomb of a male saint would be seen as a grievous sin in Islam.
