Two anti-Islamic State campaigners beheaded in Turkey – activist
Two men who were members of a group that had been campaigning against Islamic State in Syria have been found dead in their apartment in southeastern Turkey.
The founder of the group said the men had been shot in the head and beheaded.
Both men worked in the Turkish town of Sanliurfa, for the group Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently.
It was founded in April of 2014 to publicize the actions of Islamic State in the Syrian town of Raqqa, after it came under control of the group.
Turkish officials say two Turkish policemen and seven Islamic state militants were killed in a police raid in another southeastern Turkish town earlier this week.
