Want to replace ‘viklang’ with ‘divyang’: PM Modi in Varanasi
Varanasi, Jan 22 (ANI): Addressing a gathering in Varanasi on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his government is constantly thinking about how development will reach the needy to transform their lives. He said he is always under the scrutinisation, but this would never deter him from uplifting the state of the poor. He added that benefits of many schemes don’t reach desired people because of middlemen and these camps would eliminate roles of such people. Modi further stated that specially abled people should not be looked down upon and hence a new terminology should be put in place such as ‘divyang’. He concluded by saying that facilities for the differently abled people would be given by the government. He also lauded Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s comment on Kashi.
