‘You mobs don’t scare me’: Anurag Kashyap on Twitter trolls against him
New Delhi, Jan 30 (ANI): Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who has never shied away from expressing his thoughts, has hit back at the online bullies in an emotional Facebook post. In his lengthy post, Kashyap said, “I have been standing up for things since the faceless and voiceless didn’t have the social network to form a mob . It does not matter what you say or do, attack me physically or verbally, I will voice what I feel. You mobs don’t scare me, my voice will always rise over your screaming and shouting, I embrace my truth and I do not fear accusations”. He added, “So all of you are welcome to say, scream shout whatever you want. I believe in my constitution, my rights, my liberties and I will take them and exercise them when I deem fit. So thank you for all this intense passionate love that you send my way, you are not going to stop me.” For those who have come in late, the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ director has come out in the support of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who on Friday was assaulted by Rajput Karni Sena workers during ‘Padmavati’ shoot in Jaipur. However, his tweets of concern have not gone well with some of the Twitter users, who blasted on him for calling Bhansali attackers ‘Hindu Terrorists’. The ‘Bombay Velvet’ director tweeted, “Hindu extremists have stepped out of twitter into the real world now.. and Hindu terrorism is not a myth anymore.” Anurag was severely critised on the social media for his posts.
